被譽(yù)為“負(fù)離子第一人”的是日本科學(xué)家堀口升醫(yī)學(xué)博士,他發(fā)明的“離子變換器”技術(shù),是利用地球天然資源制造出等同于天然空氣負(fù)離子的專利技術(shù)。是目前處于世界領(lǐng)先的高純度空氣負(fù)離子技術(shù)。
負(fù)離子一般指陰離子。陰離子（Anion）是指原子由于外界作用得到一個(gè)或幾個(gè)電子，使其最外層電子數(shù)達(dá)到穩(wěn)定結(jié)構(gòu)。原子半徑越小的原子其得電子能力越強(qiáng)，金屬性也就越弱。陰離子是帶負(fù)電荷的離子，核電荷數(shù)=質(zhì)子數(shù)<核外電子數(shù)，所帶負(fù)電荷數(shù)等于原子得到的電子數(shù)。
負(fù)離子的發(fā)明者？
18世紀(jì)，物理學(xué)家?guī)靵鰧?shí)驗(yàn)發(fā)現(xiàn)，絕緣的金屬導(dǎo)體所帶的電荷會(huì)在大氣中消失。物理學(xué)家倫琴和貝克勒爾研究發(fā)現(xiàn)，電解質(zhì)溶液中的氣體帶有正極性或負(fù)極性的電荷微粒，由于這些帶電微粒的存在，使氣體具有導(dǎo)電的性能。物理學(xué)家艾斯特爾、蓋特勒和威爾遜也用大氣導(dǎo)電性的理論對(duì)庫侖的實(shí)驗(yàn)結(jié)果作出解釋。這種空氣中的導(dǎo)電微粒，被物理學(xué)家法拉第稱為“離子”，“空氣離子”因而得名。
經(jīng)歷100多年后，J .Thomson第一個(gè)以公式方法來表達(dá)離子的特性，同時(shí)建立了正、負(fù)離子的模型，接著Eiseer和Geieel兩人證明了離子的存在，即帶有正、負(fù)電荷的粒子，其粒徑略大于分子的直徑。1905年Langerin在大氣中發(fā)現(xiàn)了第二種離子稱為L(zhǎng)angerin離子或大直徑帶電粒子，又稱為重離子。到1909年A．Pouer發(fā)現(xiàn)了第三種離子即中等直徑的離子，稱之為中離子。到20世紀(jì)30年代德國(guó)Dessauer開創(chuàng)了大氣正、負(fù)離子生物的研究。他首先使用了電暈離子發(fā)生器，從此形成了關(guān)于負(fù)離子生物效應(yīng)的第一次研究高潮，有數(shù)以百計(jì)的論文，研究和實(shí)驗(yàn)報(bào)告，證明了負(fù)離子對(duì)人體有明顯的有益作用，而正離子則相反，特別對(duì)人的血壓和新陳代謝有明顯的破壞作用。
