心理學(xué)的發(fā)展流派是指在1879年之后整個心理學(xué)界出現(xiàn)了從未有過的熱烈的學(xué)術(shù)研討的繁榮局面，在馮特的內(nèi)容心理學(xué)以后，又接二連三相繼出現(xiàn)了或反對或繼承馮特的理論，或另辟蹊徑、獨(dú)樹一幟。各種各樣、大大小小的心理學(xué)派上百個。這些學(xué)派分布廣泛，遍布世界各地。
這些學(xué)派，有從內(nèi)在的意識去研究的，有從外在的行為研究；有從意識的表層研究，有從意識的深層研究；有從靜態(tài)，有從動態(tài)；還有從生物學(xué)、數(shù)理學(xué)、幾何學(xué)、物理學(xué)、拓?fù)鋵W(xué)、民族學(xué)、文化學(xué)等等其他不同角度去研究的。所有的學(xué)派、包括相互繼承的學(xué)派，在它們的心理研究對象、范圍、性質(zhì)、內(nèi)容以及方法上都既有聯(lián)系，又各不相同。這百余年心理學(xué)發(fā)展的速度以及研究成果，遠(yuǎn)遠(yuǎn)超過人類歷史上對心理研究成果的所有總和，對心理現(xiàn)象探索研究的深度和廣度，也都達(dá)到了前所未有的程度。而心理學(xué)派別大致包括內(nèi)容心理學(xué)派、意動心理學(xué)派、構(gòu)造主義心理學(xué)派、機(jī)能主義心理學(xué)派、行為主義心理學(xué)派、格式塔心理學(xué)派、精神分析心理學(xué)派、日內(nèi)瓦學(xué)派、人本主義心理學(xué)派、認(rèn)知心理學(xué)派。
